I don’t think a regular Lexus crossover is worthy to earn a spot at C&C.
But oh well.

This is in?

But you took a picture of it twice so their strategy worked

There is some guy that occasionally comes to our cars & coffee with a bone-stock, blacked out Terrain, parks by some supercars, open the hood, and thus implies that somebody there cares.

So what cars should be allowed at car shows, pray tell?
![]() 02/28/2016 at 15:26 |

True.

At least it looks fairly clean from the pictures. It would be an egregious impasse if it was dirty.

“I have aftermarket wheels! I belong here!” - Mr Regular.

I know they’re equally horrible, but those are two different cars.

I’m not trying to say they can’t, but at this event there’s parking for the “special” cars such as exotics, car builds, and classics, and then there’s parking for regular cars off to the side. Even then, some people park their nice/show cars (GT4s, STis, etc.) in the regular section, and I just feel that some spots in the main section should be given to them instead of cars you normally see on the street.

I’d agree. I’m just gonna say this guy wanted to bring his old British sports car, but it broke down. But rather than give up completely he decided to take his wife’s car instead.

Not in that color, no.

I’m probably being stupid but what do you mean?

lol,
“This is in what city? ”

Oh ok. Gotcha.
It’s in Aliso Viejo, CA.

I KNEW THAT AREA LOOKED FAMILIAR. haha!

I don’t think any car under 20 years old is worthy unless it has been significantly modified.

For example this Ferrari 250 GT and Ford Cortina couldn’t find a space, so they had to park off to the side where virtually nobody found them.

Cool. You’re in OC too?
![]() 02/28/2016 at 15:42 |

You just said that there’s a question of whether or not they should be there, not that they were parked in a “special” section.

Yeah, I feel the same. Honestly I can’t stand seeing 52 brand new camaros in a row at car shows. Attainable cars like that are to mainstreem to be in a car show. Now in 25 years the 2016's will look great there. Just like the late 80's early 90's do if they are in mint condition.

It does look good in white tho...

Huh, my brothers fiancé drives one just like that top one, white F-sport. I don’t think either of them plan to take it to C&C anytime soon.

But they look pretty awesome, though.

Cars that have an enthusiast following, or that show unique configurations/modifications.
A bone-stock Lexus RX is exactly the kind of car you don’t want to have wasting space at a show, no offense to RX owners and not denying the fact that the RX is a good car and worth every dollar. Because a Corolla is those things too.

... Opens the hood on his stock terrain.
Some people just don’t get it.

I actually work in Irvine but live in North SD. Do Oppo’s get together and wrench? If so, I swear I’ll bring beer.

The problem is that I think most SoCal Oppos are in LA, and I don’t have a project car.

That honestly doesn’t matter. Can you legally imbibe beer?

Haha…no.
